As it relates to the choices and decisions that a community worker might make in assisting in the development of communications skills within a technological context, there are many options that may be considered. For instance a community worker assisting people in the development of job skills may work with them to convey when email communications are beneficial and when they are not. The community worker may also attempt to convey the importance of reading body language and discerning the tone of a conversation. Overall the community worker must ensure that personal development involves the development of good communications skills if the individual is to succeed in the workplace.
